11月2日至4日，联合国世界旅游组织旅游教育质量认证（UNWTO TedQual）专家Edith Szivas对我校旅游管理、酒店管理、会展经济与管理三个本科专业进行旅游教育质量认证线上审核。
11月2日，副校长付宏出席在线认证审核见面会。国际交流与合作处、教务处等处室负责人，旅游与酒店管理学院领导班子成员参加。付宏代表学校向认证专家表示欢迎，并指出，旅游管理、酒店管理、会展经济与管理是我校管理学类的特色专业，近年来不断强化“以学生为中心、以教师为主体”的办学理念，坚持关注人与自然和谐共生的可持续发展和伦理道德，在教学和科研中专注于培养学生适应未来职业发展需要的专业知识、职业素养、创新意识和自我发展能力，取得了优良的成绩。学校大力支持三个专业开展国际认证，努力将“以学生为本，以产出为导向，以持续改进为手段”的认证理念贯穿于旅游管理类专业人才培养各个环节，以培养融通中西文化智慧的旅游、酒店、会展行业高级管理人才为使命，不断提高教育教学质量与水平。
11月3日至4日，认证专家分别组织了教师代表、公共部门代表、用人单位代表、在校生代表和校友代表五场在线访谈，了解不同利益相关者对认证专业的人才培养、教学体系、师资队伍、科研和社会服务能力、办学资源、校企合作等方面的评价和满意度。湖北省文化和旅游厅教育科技处副处长李晓玲、湖北省旅游管理教学指导委员会委员程丛喜、湖北楚商联合会会展部部长温慧、欢乐谷集团副总经理黄小林、光谷科技会展中心总经理姜兴生、武汉卓尔万豪总经理高明等九家企业代表到校接受了访谈。各界人士均充分肯定了三个认证专业的办学水平和人才培养质量以及毕业生的职业素养和工作能力，并与认证专家深入探讨了疫情影响下的旅游业发展前景。
在线审核期间，旅游与酒店管理学院通过线上平台向专家展示了学校办公环境、智慧教室、图书馆、旅游与餐饮实验（实训）教学示范中心、经济管理实验教学示范中心、心理健康教育中心、华住集团产教融合基地和体育场馆、食堂、医院、商业服务等生活设施，全方位展示了学校的办学条件与环境。
据悉，联合国世界旅游组织旅游教育质量认证（UNWTO TedQual）创建于1998年，是联合国世界旅游组织颁发的唯一具有国际标准的旅游教育、培训及研究项目的质量认证。通过专业认证的办学机构不仅可以成为世界旅游组织教育质量授权合作伙伴，还能与其他通过认证的海外院校开展教育、科研等多方面的国际交流与合作。此次认证也是我校旅游管理国家级一流本科专业建设点建设工作的重要内容。
From November 2 to 4, Edith Szivas, an expert of UNWTO TedQual, conducted an online audit on the quality certification of tourism education for HBUE three undergraduate majors: Tourism Management, Hotel Management, Conference/Exhibition Economy &Management.

UNWTO TedQual, founded in 1998, is the only quality certification of tourism education, training and research projects with international standards issued by UNWTO. Schools that have passed the professional certification can not only become authorized partners of the World Tourism Organization for education quality, but also carry out international exchanges and cooperation in education, scientific research and other aspects with other overseas institutions that have passed the certification. This certification is also an important part of the construction of a national first-class undergraduate major in tourism management in our university.
